DepEd Sarangani eyes alignment to National QMS

Aiming to improve the quality of service it provides to its clientele, DepEd Sarangani gathered its key personnel for a two-day refresher on February 23 and 24 at Venue 88 Convention Center, General Santos City, on the different modules of the National Quality Management System. Nerissa Alfafara, CESE, OIC-Assistant Schools Division Superintendent emphasized the importance of learning about and aligning to the principles of QMS, saying that it is key to meeting the standards of ISO 9001:2015, which is the gold standard in assessing the quality of services offered by an organization. “We have already started our virtual orientations last year, but we want everybody to have a clearer understanding of the QMS principles. Tokawal NHS brings e-Learning closer to the community

It has been a productive Saturday for the LR on WHEeLS team as they start the field testing of the new iteration of the project. Now installed in over 60 schools in the Province, the LR on WHEeLS or Learning Resources on WiFi Hub for Expanded e-Learning in Sarangani continues to engage more learners by bringing it closer to the community. At Tokawal National High School, the school premises and the households around the Barangay Hall are already connected to the LR on WHEeLS network and the learners are already enjoying the benefits of online learning without having to pay for an internet connection. JLCNTS, DTI ink Shared Service Facilities MOA

In order to support their thriving sinamak production, the Department of Trade and Industry Sarangani, inked an agreement with James L. Chiongbian National Trade School for Shared Services Facilities (SSF). The SSF is a project of DTI that provides micro, small, and medium enterprises like the JLCNTS Teachers Association equipment to enhance their production rate.  JLCNTS received a package consisting vinegar acetator kit, industry grade blenders and stove, and other materials, which will reduce the length of sinamak or spiced vinegar production from one month to just two weeks.  Schools Division Superintendent Gildo G. Mosqueda, CEO VI, expressed support to the program, saying that this project will greatly benefit the learners in food processing. "Not only that, our learners can also benefit from the proposed Pasalubong Center.
