In order to develop competencies required of a school head, 155 teachers-in-charge from all over Sarangani participated in the three-day School Heads Development Program earlier this week at the National Educators Academy of the Philippines-Region XII, Quirino Avenue, General Santos City. The training focused on the different domains under the Philippine Professional Standards for School Heads, which are: Leading Strategically, Managing School Operations and Resources, Focusing on Teaching and Learning, Developing Self and Others, and Building Connections. Interview, demonstration of applicants for new teaching positions continue; English Proficiency Test to be conducted soon

The hiring process for teaching positions in DepEd Sarangani continues as applicants participate in interviews and teaching demonstrations conducted in the different municipalities. Pursuant to the Division Memorandum 44 series of 2022, which sets the guidelines for the recruitment, selection and placement of personnel for kindergarten, elementary, junior high school, and senior high school teaching positions for the school year 2022-2023, the School Screening Committees, Division Sub-Selection Committees, and Division Selection Committee have started the verification of documents, conduct of interviews, and rating of the applicants’ teaching demonstrations. Last February 8, 2022, the personnel unit led by Rehanee Paidumama-Sambuto, AO IV, conducted a virtual orientation of all applicants. As the year 2022 begins, DepEd Sarangani recognizes its achievements in the past year and eyes hitting new targets. During the first flag-raising ceremony of the year, Schools Division Superintendent Gildo G. Mosqueda, CEO VI encouraged the personnel to work harder this year as we expect to face more challenges. HRMO conducts virtual orientation on DepEd Hiring guidelines

In order to provide applicants with relevant and accurate information on the hiring guidelines of the Department of Education for Teacher 1 position, as well as on hiring IP and senior high school teachers, DepEd Sarangani conducted a virtual orientation on February 10 and 11, 2021. Over a thousand applicants from Sarangani Province and nearby areas attended the online orientation led by Administrative Officer IV Rehanee Sambuto, who discussed the requirements for teacher applicants, the registry of qualified applicants and its utilization, and other reminders.
