DepEd Sarangani receives awards for professional development and resource efficiency

The Schools Division of Sarangani was recently honored with two prestigious awards for their exceptional performance in professional development for both teaching and non-teaching staff.  During a ceremony held at the Greenleaf Hotel in General Santos City yesterday, the DepEd Regional Office XII awarded SDO Sarangani the major awards, Gawad Kagalingan and Gawad Bagwis. The Gawad Kagalingan is given to the SDO that exhibited exemplary performance in the implementation of professional development for teaching and nonteaching employees. Meanwhile, the Gawad Bagwis is awarded to the SDO for its exemplary performance in the implementation of programs, projects, and activities on personnel performance management, Rewards and Recognition, talent development, and successful planning. The Schools Division of Sarangani has been awarded the prestigious PRIME-HRM Bronze Award for its outstanding commitment to excellence in human resources management. PRIME-HRM, or Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management, is a model that recognizes organizations that have implemented effective practices and systems in the management of their human resources.  The model focuses on the following areas: Recruitment, Selection, and Placement; Learning and Development; Performance Management; and Rewards and Recognition. ALIVE program implementers receive TV sets

Fifteen schools implementing the Arabic Language and Islamic Values Education program in the different municipalities of Sarangani Province received smart TVs on June 20, 2023 at DepEd Conference Hall. According to ALIVE Program Coordinator Bedaria T. Hassan, the television sets were procured using the Madrasah education support fund. “We hope that these smart TV sets will help the teachers and learners visualize their ALIVE lessons, build literacy skills, and energize the classroom dynamics,” she added. Tangali Integrated School receives 170 tablets from DepEd XII

Learners at Tangali Integrated School in North Malungon district will soon experience digital learning as the Department of Education Region XII turned over 170 tablets that they could use in their classes. As part of DepEd's basic education learning continuity plan, DepEd XII procured tablets to be distributed to identified schools in the region, with a preference for schools in far-flung areas, whose learners are usually deprived of learning opportunities enjoyed by learners in more accessible schools. The tablets contain digitized self-learning modules and stories that are intended to support the development of the learners' reading skills and address the unavailability of books and other reading materials. The Schools Division of Sarangani has committed to enhancing the learners' use of said tablets by adding interactive learning materials such as automated quizzes and videos that are currently being developed.
